After joining the Gauteng City-Region Observatory (GCRO) as a researcher in 2013 I was tasked with heading the production of the interactive online State of the Gauteng City-Region Review. This report brings together multiple authors who analyse many diverse aspects of the city-region such as quality of life, economics, sustainability and mobility. It is a major GCRO research output and involved input from all GCRO researchers.
